In this role you will work in a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled consultants. Based on your proven experience in introducing and integrating innovations into manufacturing processes, you will be assigned to various consulting assignments where you will support your industry clients until the improvement goals are achieved.

Your profile

  • Master's degree in materials science, physics, chemistry or mechanical engineering
  • Versatile, passionate, creative and solution-oriented engineer
  • More than 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 5 years as a mass production engineer or manager
  • Experience in lean manufacturing
  • Knowledge of high-tech processes (thin films, lasers, microfabrication, polymers, batteries, clean rooms, etc.)
  • Expertise in the economic analysis of industrial processes
  • Interest in different technologies, strength of implementation and ability to work in a team
  • Languages: German, French, English fluently spoken and written
  • Willingness to travel in Switzerland 60-80%

Your main tasks and responsibilities

  • Analysis and optimisation of the customer's production processes
  • Proposing measures that lead to quality, profitability and productivity improvements
  • Proposing and leading innovation and improvement projects in the field of metallic and polymer materials as well as coatings
  • Proposing and leading innovation and improvement projects in the area of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Designing and planning the introduction of new processes, machines and production infrastructures
  • Supporting the implementation of the proposed projects in close cooperation with the client and with technology suppliers until the improvements are achieved
